roy would have needed to win a titles at 154 and 190 now that would be legacy a true 6 weight champion...not a wbougs champ like oscar at 130 and 160.

pacquiao won a title at flyweight and is now fighting for a title at super featherweight.

Thats a span of 6 divisions if he wins it, although he skipped alot of divisions when there was no challenge.

And actually he is rated no.1 by the ring magazine at super featherweight.

Eh, WBO is depends on who had the title when he got it. 130 I THINK. I dont remember Oscars early career, but it was a legit title win. 160, no.

we are not talking about lineal titles. floyd was the legit wbc champ at 140 and 154 since he beat the wbc champs at those weights. floyd has never won any title in an eliminator and that would be the only way you could hope to discredit him.:deal

Hearns won the WBO super-middleweight title against James Kinchen, not at crusierweight. And De La Hoya won his WBO titles against Jimmy Bredhal at super-featherweight, and Felix Sturm at middleweight. Apart from that, both are legitimate four weight world champions with the three major sanctioning bodies. WBC, WBA, IBF.

I fully agree, Leonard did win titles in five weights divisions, but he achieved it the easy way. It wasn't Leonard's fault, it was Jose Sulimain's as he sanctioned the bout for both titles to be on the line. After Leonard persauded him of course. Leonard challenged for the WBC light-heavyweight title held by Lalonde, and the vacant WBC super-middleweight title. The weight limit was set at 162lbs.

To win two world titles in two different weight divisions, you need to compete in two seperate fights. Simple.

sorry but these "titles" don't count:

    1. NABF
    2. IBO
    3. IBA
    4. USBA
    5. WBU

some people count the IBF many don't count the wbo (count me among those who don't) but pac did not win a legit title at flyweight.

Mayweather won WBC titles from super-featherweight to jr middleweight. Also the IBF belt at welterweight against Judah. That title wasn't on the line when Judah lost to Baldomir.

I agree as well leonard pulled some strings to get that distinction, but because it was sanctioned by the WBC I am not going to argue the merits.

The reason he persauded the WBC to put the their vacant super-middleweight title on the line was because Hearns was challenging Kinchen for the WBO super-middleweight title only a couple of nights before. If I mind right, the previous night.

actually i'll count his title at 140 cause Gatti had a few defenses in the bag but at 154.

Mayorga wins the vacant title against Michele Piccirillo,

loses it in his first defence to Oscar, coming off a 2 year layoff, who loses it in his first Defence, 1 year later

That WBC title is worthless. not 1 mandatory challenger in over 3 years.
