List a champion that has never struggled with a top fighter in his division

    There is a lot of critical boxing fans on here, I just want to see what standard people are using. There must be loads of champion fighters that are undefeated and haven't had close fights right?

    May gets flak for his close fights with castillo and maidana
    Ward gets flak for his close fights with Boone and Kovalev
    GGG gets flak for his close fight with Jacobs

    What belt holders can say they beat some top fighters in their division with ease and never had a close fight in their career?

    Nobody... All top fighters who fight the best have struggled with a good opponent at some point in their career.

    Impossible . Every champion in history has been defeated or at least struggled to defeat an opponent.

    Enough already. Everybody struggles with certain opposition and GGG is no different. What we learned Saturday night was that GGG IS not a god, he's not a cyborg, he's not an ATG, HE'S HUMAN!!!!

    There is no such fighter on earth, every top fighter throughout history always
    had a foil, a tough style that they struggled mightily with.

    Even Marciano and Ricardo Lopez who both retired without L's
    still have asterisks behind their names, let alone Floyd who's
    struggles in certain fights are recorded for all to see.

    That's up for debate really. Question his competition all you want, but his reign is pretty impressive and I think he'll be viewed similar to how Wlad is by historians down the line. HOF, ATG but there will be some question marks about the toughness of the era he fought in. The stats don't lie though.

    Valero wasn't the champ Jaun Manual Marquez was the champ, and Valero never faced anyone in the top 5 of his division so he doesn't meet the criteria.

    Ignore all the mongs who think a close fight means somebody is a crap boxer or 'exposed'.

    Not many on here show any respect to any fighter that isnt a top 10-15 p4p which is ridiculous as there are many many skilled fighters throughout boxing.

    Dont let these obsseive fanatics and haters cloud whats real.

    There are some good posters on here that i learn alot from so stick to the real and ignore the ******s.

    Every knockout artist gets knocked out themselves eventually. I doubt Valero would have still been undefeated in 2017 had he not passed away and continued on with his career.
    Valero would have likely found his match in someone by now.

    This thread is kind of funny to me you here all the sh1t about guys being overrated due to close fight against top comp, yet this is only brought up when GG struggles vs a semi good fighter.
