RJJ didnt struggle until he fought montell griffin in his 4th weight division, didnt struggle again until he fought tarver 5 years past his best coming down from HW
But i get the point and GGG should get credit for even fighting the number 2 in his division because thats kind of a rarity these days

Wait a second. Hammer hands, the guy who started this thread is the same guy who made a thread claiming GGG just carried Jacobs the distance and that GGG "didnt even throw hard" so Jacobs would survive. But now he starts a thread complaining about GGG being criticized for struggling with Jacobs.
Hammer Hands are you developmentally challenged? Do you need help finding your mommy?

Realistically if you fight enough quality opponents close tough fights will happen, which is a reason I don't give to much grief for them. From Ali-Norton SRL-Hagler to Whitaker-Chavez close fights happen.
Most people fail to realize that and I think the flack Opinion is catching is because going in no one thought much of Jacobs, saying that he was GGG first decent opponent to struggle with the first guy you ever faced kind of kills all the hype Golovkin was given.

Good point. I was going to say Lennox Lewis, but checking his record, he did lose a couple, but seriously, he did clearly dominate the division right?

ATG all day long. Top 10 maybe. Just hasn't had the opponents, that's the only knock on him, and that's not his fault. If you've followed his career you'll see he is not the same fighter now. The fires not as intense
