All the pro boxers I have met have been real cool and down to earth.
Darnell Wilson - Known him for years and maybe the most down to earth, nicest guys you'll ever meet.
Hasim Rachman, Shannon Briggs, Zab Judah (Believe it or not, he took some time to sit and chat for a while and is real cool), Simon Brown, Livingstone Bramble, Tony Thompson, Keith Holmes, William Joppy, Paul Williams, Paul Malignaggi, Iceman John Scully, Mike "no joke" Stewart, all I can think of for now but all nice guys.
Pernell Whittaker seemed apprehensive at first, but then actually asked me to go out with them later to a club.
I suppose everyone can have a bad day, but the people in the list above I have met more than once and never came accross like an a-hole.

Nigel Benn did a lot for charity (never wanted publicity for it). He used to get ringside seats for one of his handicapped fans.

    Top guy.

Carlos Monzon. Great guy, and a real family man.

  4. Met Virgil Hill once and he is a classy dude, he was willing to chit-chat with ordinary folks..:good
Gerry Cooney seems like a nice cat..

Fernando Vargas and Judah both seem like total Assholes, and i doubt it's no coincidence that every time they fight at the elite level they get their asses kicked:lol:

Got mines for free. It could have been that our kids went to school together - but I can only comment on what I know.

Agreed. Surpassed in these areas only by Jake LaMotta and Sugar Ray Robinson.

Diego Corrales was one of the nicest people you would have met outside the ring.

My father in law picked Duddy up in his cab the other night to take him to a tv recording. They got talking and my father in law told him I was a big boxing fan so John phoned me for a chat he seems like a really nice guy.Funny thing was he asked me what was I up to that night and i nearly said watching the Andy Lee fight who could beat you handily.

i suspect De La hoya to be a real nice guy out side the ring

i suspect tyson to be a bit more aggresive and bad ass to keep his rep outside

I dont give a **** and I dont think anyone else does either about what you think or feel a fighter might be like outside of the ring.

Lets have only actual stories, no miss cleo psychic preminitions.

George Foreman appeared on HBO to be the type of guy who loved to hear his own voice, even if what he was saying made absolutely no sense at all.
