His power is underrated as well, especially at LW where he was an ATG. When he sat down on his punches and when he needed to, he can get the KO. He scored some spectacular one punch KO's in his career.

Yeah, he had some underrated power in that left hand. He needed to get leverage on it and obviously the placing and timing of the punch played a big part in the damage it did.

Unified the lightweight belts with a single left hand against Nazario, basically ended the Lomeli fight with one perfectly timed left hand, briefly rocked Chavez in the 8th round with a left, turned the whole course of the Hurtado fight with the left hands.

Yes, casual fans and newbies just remember the Hearns and Leonard fight. In actuality Hagler was a heavy-handed boxer who broke guys down methodically. He was versatile and well-rounded.

I watched the loss to Boogaloo Watts, which he should have won, and was very impressed with his defense. His head movement was very good and he was making Watts miss an awful lot. He became more offensive-minded later, but still maintained a pretty solid defense with his parrying and head movement. It was by 1984 against Juan Roldan when he started his defensive reflexes started slowing.
