Heavyweight - Haye if he beats Wlad & Vitali. Wlad if he beats Haye + Valuev. Vitali if he beats Valuev + Haye if he beats Wlad. Cruiserweight - Tomasz Adamek should he unify, I think he would easily beat either of Fragomeni or Ramirez. Super-Middleweight - Hopefully fights between Froch/Bute/Kessler happen. Would love Froch to be lineal champion and he may be in the best position if he can unify against Bute, though Kessler is the best prepared but is having promotor issues obviously. Light-Middleweight - Depends who sticks around. If PW does I think he can claim it, if he moves up the title is their for Sergey Dzinziruk to lose, though I can't see him unifying. Welter-Weight - Floyd's. I truly believe he's back to clean up and secure his legacy. I think he can beat WBA champ Mosley and WBO champ Cotto, aswell as Berto but I don't see that fight happening anytime soon. Super-Feather - Humberto Soto is clearly the best in the division. If he wants the lineal championship, he can claim it by beating all the other champions. Featherweight - Chris John? Yuriorkis Gamboa in the future? Who knows.
Or in answer to your question who deserves to be right now, probably nobody in most of the division's in fairness until they do something, but if I had to pick. HW - Wlad (Best in the division) CW - Adamek (Best in the division) SMW - Froch (Only because he's making steps to fight the best, Kessler and Bute aren't) LMW - Dzinziruk (Long-term at the weight, Williams is betwee weights so I didn't pick him, plus he only beat Verno Phillips) WW - Mosley (Currently, after the Margo win) SFW - Soto (Best in the division) FW - John (Best in the division)
Floyd was the last Lineal Champ at WW. No one deserves to considered lineal, they unify or the top two fight.
Offhand, does anyone have the rankings for JMW? I was wondering if Williams-Dzinziruk would be the the lineal title if that's who Paul winds up fighting.
