Mexico is also one of the few nations where boxing overall has suffered an appreciable decline in overall interest. Say what you will, but if the interest in the sport here in the States had not diminished so dramatically, American fighters would be a threat to win titles in every division.
In the real light divisions, it was once in a blue moon the US would produce champs or top guys... And when they did they were usually Mex-American But i will be the first to say when it comes to producing the most greats and chamnpion.. THe Us is clearly number 1 and Mexico 2nd. Actually i think the other countries are puttiing more or the same amount..... . . US and KOrea seem to be the only noticeable ones.
