There's nothing special about Haney whatsoever. Unless that is you think that a gigantic 135 pounder who is a natural 147 pounder outboxing shot old men he's way bigger, heavier and longer than, all of whom are blown up 126, 130 or average sized 135 pounders, and needing a gift from your three judges in your backyard to get past an old past prime tiny Loma who you weighed four divisions more than and had a near six in reach advantage over in what was a match up between the biggest 135 pounder vs the smallest one makes you ''special?'' If that and never having beaten a world class fighter close to your size then my definition of the word special is badly off. He's never even wobbled a world champion even though he's way bigger and heavier than them and, half the ones he's fought were old men, two of them were known to be very chinny back in their primes, and he hits them with everything bar the kitchen sink all night. Current special fighters in terms of skills and just being special talents in general In no order Loma Inoue Usyk Crawford Clenelo Shakur And yes, Loma is very special. He's just fighting out of his weight class (which would be like his 6th if he turned pro aged 19-20 and even more if he turned pro younger than that) and is routinely giving away huge physical advantages that none of these other ''special fighters'' are and I include Usyk and Clenelo in that because Usyk has only had 4 fights at HW and even up at 175 against Bivol and Kovalev Clenelo was giving away a fraction of the physical advantages in terms of weight and reach Loma is at 135. Some of those fighters might be giving big or huge physical advantages away sometimes but it's ether rare, very rare or never nor even close with some of them. Beterbiev is special in terms of physical strength and power. He's not just your regular physically strong powerful fighter. He's clearly built different and his skill level is good too and it's much better than many give him credit for. Super Boots is special. His speed, power, athleticism, and fluidity is different. I'd say Teofimo is special in that regard too. He's very athletic, explosive, fast, and powerful and skilled too etc. I don't think Clenelo is special in terms of athleticism but he's one of the most skilled fighters in the game and he's got an iron chin and is physically strong and powerful. Bivol is kind of special too. His judgement of distance and range, accuracy, and speed of hand and foot are impressive and he has fast reaction times as well. Twink is probably special too but he doesn't deserve to be included because he's in the ducking business, is a smoke and mirrors product of the PBC/Showtime mafia and their partners in crime the sanctioning orgs who bend over backwards to orchestrate title shots for fake belts (sold as real ones to the casuals) for him and his opponents and then the PBC/Showtime media shill affiliates duly blow industrial amounts of smoke up his ass and hype the bums and C and D levels he's facing or has beaten to dupe the casuals to be fooled by the smoke and mirrors.
Fury created a new meta for physical attributes in a super heavyweight that have never been before and if living proof that hard works pays off because when he was fresh and green at the start of his career he didn't hold these attributes namely stamina & foot speed.
