Haven't heard anyone seriously calling GGG. Ward stunt is obviously just a way to drop his name in the media, GGG was going to unify and Ward clearly knew that. Lara can't hold his own at 154 and he doesn't even compite at 160. Mayorga was calling GGG couple of years ago also, but intentions were same as Lara's. Eubank jr. Wants to put his name on the map but might also fight GGG if opportunity arise - eventhough he doesn't go 6rds with Golovkin. Guys that should be calling him are Canelo, Jacobs and Saunders, but they are scared as h.. So please, keep it serious. There are people who actually like boxing.
Hey, Trinidad was the WBA JMW champion and was granted a shot at WBA MW Titleist Joppy in his first fight at MW. I DON'T see why the same can't be done for Lara. GGG just doesn't want to risk his aura of invincibility, especially to his Goons.:deal
Don King controlled boxing back then and they had a "tournament" where Trinidad was suppose to win it until Hopkins ruined it all. King's intentions and Trinidad's too was to eventually fight Roy Jones Jr. at 168lbs
Austin Trout and Erislandy Lara calling GGG out and why they won't even consider them as opponents http://www.boxingnews24.com/2016/01...has-been-calling-golovkin-out-for-a-year-now/ Even the very limited Chris Eubank Jr is calling GG out http://www.boxingnews24.com/2016/05/chris-eubank-jr-targeting-gennady-golovkin/ We know GGG REJECTED a 50/50 offer made by Andre SOG Ward http://www.knbr.com/2015/09/16/ward-ggg-golovkin-rejected-5050-offer-to-fight/
GGG has no excuse. Tito and Joppy fought for a title in Tito's first fight at MW. Rosado fought GGG for a title in his first fight at MW. There are countles examples of a champion in the lower divisions moving up and getting a shot at a title.
