Badr Hari is a caught ped user.

He also lost a lot of weight in jail and is now a lightheavyweight.
Guy is also obvious on the roids.

Glad his chin is too "Pricey" to have success in boxing

The whole Evan Fields thing was all based on a journalists account who claimed when he called the number in question that Holy answered the phone.

When it was actually investigated properly by the authorities they decided Holy had no case to answer for.

That's one way of looking at it. Essentially there wasn't enough evidence to put a case together, which is subtly different from "he had no case to answer for" (which implies that they concluded that he was clean).

Without a positive test, putting together a watertight case often needs a huge amount of time, a few whistle-blowers, and persistence and bravery on the part of those investigating. In boxing, the environment hasn't really existed for this to happen on a wide scale.

Holyfield's explanations of the Evan Fields issue have varied from implausible ("they were for my dad"), omerta (refusing to talk about it), and finally it seems to the trademark Armstrong defence ("I’ve been tested more than anybody, and they ain’t ever found nothing in my system"). He has contradicted himself on more than one occasion.

If Holyfield has been clean throughout his career, his actions and words have done a very poor job of removing the cloud of suspicion hanging over him.

You could write a lengthy dossier on the reasons to suspect Holyfield, and the defence pretty much consists only of the absence of a positive test. There is indeed no incontrovertible proof that Holyfield used PEDs, but you'd have to be bordering on the delusional to think there isn't a significant degree of suspicion.

Thats a fair post, I'm a massive Holy fan but am 99% certain he used PEDs.

Re: the bolded section, can you post any links for further reading on the subject. Ive never seen/read Holy claim they were for his Dad.

    Cheers

What more do y'all need? It's not undeniable proof but it's a good reason for us to believe he probably juiced.

This. Remember; Mosley wasn't caught, he admitted his use after the facts had come to light from the whole Balco thing.

Nope. Vitali is just twice in the list somehow :?
He got caught prior to the '96 Olympics, so his brother went and won.

To be fair to McCline he never actually failed the test.

'Just prior to his bout with Peter, it was reported by the New York Daily News that McCline had received more than $12,000 of drugs including the steroids stanozolol and nandrolone, along with human growth hormone, testosterone and tamoxifen from Signature Pharmacy in 2005 and 2006'

I'm sure he had a perfectly legitimate reason for purchasing all that though. lol

I don't think anyone's mentioned Mariusz Wach yet either.

Boxing as a professional sport should across all organisations adhere to Olympic standard testing with 3 yr ban for a 1st offence and a 5yr ban for a second and a life ban for a third . And when a boxer tests positive they should lose their purse and trainer and manager should also receive bans depending on evidence.

Any boxer that is guilty of testing positive deserves to have their careers viewed with some doubt . Boxers that achieve like toney and vitali should be marked down in historical value to the sport accordingly

I'm all for huge bans in boxing, and much better testing.
A guy like Toney wouldn't be able to compete anymore in most other sports after his 3rd offence. There's a thread here in wich people say the 9 month ban for JCC jr on pot is absurd, completely forgetting his history as a recidivist who should have had a long time ban by now.
