List of Fighters Who SUCK Against Southpaws

Lucian Bute, it's pretty much his worst nightmare, his defense sucks against southpaws.

 

So Lewis didn't vacate his IBF title to avoid fighting Chris Byrd? Yes he did. You never heard of Michael Moorer? You know... that southpaw that was Champ during Lewis' era? As you mention... Corrie Sanders. Lewis' stablemate who openly begged Lewis for a fight. They became friends afterward and Lewis told Sanders flat out that he avoided fighting him. Lewis even said this himself in the buildup to Klitschko - Sanders when he was working as management for Sanders.

 

Seriously, if people would say FLoyd sucks vs southpaws because he got hit a few times against them and lost 3 rounds to one of the southpaws he faced, then they can say a guy who has 3 losses to them sucks also.

If Floyd sucks vs southpaws then Cotto does also. Margarito is worst against them than both

He certainly looked awful against Ortiz and Collazo but at the same time he beat Quintana quite handily. I'll go with it being a styles thing rather than a southpaw thing, but hey, being southpaw is integral to styles no?

Sanders knocked out Wlad, who was the #1 contender by ring mag for over 2 years while Lewis was Champ. That also made Sanders the WBO Champion. This happened at the beginning of March while Lewis was fighting nobody. Lewis could have easily taken Sanders up on his offer rather than schedule a fight with Kirk Johnson who had done absolutely nothing to deserve a shot. Sanders didn't do more than Johnson? When did Frans Botha earn that shot at Lewis? When he got knocked out cold by Tyson?

I hope you are joking about Moorer-Holyfield. Not only did they SPLIT WINS against each other. But they fought way before Holyfield fought Lewis. Why are you pretending like you know what you are talking about when clearly you don't? Moorer beat Holy in 1994! Holy beat Moorer in 1997... and Lewis fought Holy in 1999. There just wasn't time for Lewis to face Moorer? I guess Lewis was too busy fighting Tyson, Bowe, and Foreman in the 90s? Oh yeah... he didn't fight any of the top 3 fighters in the 90's... until he fought a 37 year old Holy in 1999.

Why would I discredit Lewis if I am a Klitschko nuthugger? Wouldn't I want to prop Lewis up in an effort to show how great Vitali is? What you are saying makes no sense. I never said that Lewis wasn't a great boxer, because he was. I just never fell in line with the EXTREME overhyping of Lennox Lewis that somehow happened when he retired. In reality, he was a guy who fought in a pretty good era, who sat in the backround while all of the other stars of his era (Tyson, Holyfield, Bowe) fought each other and burnt themselves out. Then, Lewis becamse Champ after they all went on the slide and held the title during a transitional period. His title reign after beating Holyfield wasn't even really impressive to be honest. He is just being overrated like crazy nowadays.

 

No you wouldnt do that because you dont even think Lewis won the fight you think Lewis' hair cut VK and VK wouldve knocked Lewis out if the fight continued and was ahead on the cards and shouldve went to a decision.

And no Lewis didnt sit back and let Lewis, Tyson, Bowe fight each other.... Bowe wanted no part of him and threw away his belt to avoid fighting him. And he beat Holyfield when he got the chance. None of them were to anxious to jump in the ring with him so dont actike he ducked them. They were the champs not him. He's not ovrrated his resume is very good and fought pretty much everyone he could have. And you wanna sit here and talk about him avoiding Byrd like Byrd had ANY ****ING CHANCE of beating him. It's embarrassing seriously.

 

I don't give a damn what Judah and Corley did early, they both got their asses kicked by Cotto. I think it's a big stretch to say he sucks against lefties. And saying 3 of Margo's 7 losses were against lefties proves that he sucks vs. lefites is faulty logic in my opinion. Pac is the only lefty that worked him over. His fight against Williams was very close, and he was arguably beating Santos when that fight was stopped. In addtion, he has beaten up a couple of quality lefties.
