Yes, and Americans never do anything against the rules. I mean Ruiz is known as a squeaky clean fighter is he not? And Dirrell never holds, Tim Bradley never headbutts, nor does Andre Ward, Holyfield certainly doesn't.

    Pull yourself together. :-(

It really works both ways. There's no surer guarantee for a 5+ pager (outside an incendiary Mayweather/Pacquiao post) than anything related to Europe v. USA.

Technically Haye fouled him a couple of times but back in the real world, and in the heat of battle, these things happen.

    Whatever next?

If we're not careful these big guys will start hitting each other in the faces with some real spite. They may even really hurt each other if they're not careful. The brutes.

I think some folk here need to get all of the sand out of their vagina's.

Or go back to their flower arranging, where they can claw each others eyes out if their pansy's are illegally nestled against their buttercups.

I'm talking about the deplorable nature of the rabbit-punching committed by Haye in the 1st round and the horrible job of addressing it that the referee did. Amateurish on both Haye and the ref's part. Haye had no business resorting to bush league tactics when he's clearly got the guy outclassed but I guess that kind of thing is innate in British boxers.

Haye did win and there's no one here taking away from that. I'm just a little perplexed at the presumed need to use rabbit punches by Haye. He's got the guy in speed, mobility and power. The only thing he doesn't have the guy in is chin yet still he feels compelled to rabbit-punch in a fight he's easily winning. Go figure.

Pipe down, Think. It's only a discussion. Why are you being so blind and biased? I'm not making this up. You just finished witnessing the unwarranted fouls yet you refuse to acknowledge them. Ruiz's career hasn't been based on fighting dirty. He just enjoys the clinch, that's all. It's not like he's assaulting your balls, or punching at your brain stem, both of which could have resounding effects. Now clinching on the other hand . . . not so much. And B-Hop is clever and crafty. He uses all the tricks in the book. That doesn't make him dirty, that makes him seasoned.

Now Holyfield, on the other hand, brought three weapons to the ring to engage in war with on every occasion. And those three were the left, the right, and the cranium. That was dirty. But when you've got God in your life all of your sins are forgiven.

Yeah the punch on the back of the head on the first round was obviously stupid by Haye but It's not like it was completely out of nowhere, you know? He was in the motion of trying to get the man out of there, I think it was just made worse but the way the ref treated it. I didn't get what was going on, why he gave him the count, why he took a point and then counted it as a knock-down? Weird.

And I am just annoyed because everybody is saying Haye will get beat, that he can't fight with a real heavyweight, and as soon as he puts up a good fight, a solid, exciting fight in the heavyweight division, people are just trying to belittle it straight away?

At the end of the day! Ruiz was turning his head, Ruiz was lowering it as Haye was still in motion of throwing combos. I really don't think its worth all of this **** people are starting.

Haye actually pushed Ruiz over the ropes, and hit him on the head like 3 times. I was half expecting Haye to knock out the ref, and Ricky Hatton to come in the ring and hit Ruiz with a chair.

You really are a very narrow-minded and deluded little man.

Hatton eats pies and couldn't get out of a chair these days. :rofl

Nevertheless, you're still a sad ****er.
