So Arthur Abraham earns more than David Haye who got £20m for fighting Audley Harrison.

Are you saying that Haye got $40 mill for a fight? :think

I'm not sure.... but - sure Haye should be on the list.

Looking at Haye's last fights and the newspaper reports I would esitmate his purse as $3-6 mill per fight. Thoughts?

    No its not.

The biggest stars in German boxing get at most $4.5million. And that's them as the promoter - how much actually goes into their own pocket after they've paid their support staff, etc is another matter.

Manny Pacquiao for his fight against Shane Mosley generated $63million in pay per view if the 1.4million buys figure is to be believed. Now that didn't all go to Top Rank/Pacquiao but a sizeable chunk did.

True, I did not mean to say that Pacquiao and Floyd don't generate a lot of money, because they do. However, Germany has become a boxing power house in the last 10-15 years - and Wlad, Vitaly, Abraham, Sturm etc. are being paid far more than almost everyone in boxing. fighters are generally paid much less than people think and many especially Mexican and american fighters fight at the championship and challenger levels for $10.000 or $20.000.

Look at this video to hear Dwyer talk about purses in boxing:

where did you get these earnings figures?
How much did Mayweather make for his Mosley fight?Do you think he made $5m?
How much did he earn for the Marquez fight?
How much did he earn for the DelaHoya fight?
How much is he making for the Ortiz fight?
Do you realistically think if you gave Mayweather $5m he will even start training?
Same questions for Pacquiao's last few fights?

Why I say even the mean wont be that low is because of the Khan numbers? The figures you quoted are his current earnings per fight and so if you are consistant in your methodology you wouldnt have Wlad as the highest earner because Mayweather and Pacquiao earn much more money per fight.

Your figures left me wondering whether you were ignorant, were trying to make a joke or you were mildly ******ed but still couldnt find out.

I'm not disputing that Germany is a powerhouse in boxing, but to suggest its overtaken America is absurd.

What is the color of Mayweather's girlfriend's panties?
Are Froch's big toe longer than his nose?

Dude..... we all have plenty of questions.

Please add to the thread if you think you have answers (we have more than enough questions already).

There's no way elite German fighters (lol) are getting paid more than American or British fighters, and the simple reason being there is no PPV in Germany. Fighters like Floyd, Manny and Khan would not consider even fighting if no PPV was involved.

I'm not saying that either because on the whole I don't think it has. But surely many of the best paid boxers these days fight out of Germany.

Many none-American fighters have greater earning potential than American fighters because they are often the only or one of few big stars in their country.

In the US there are many so if you are a champ, you are not that special and may still get a lowly pay. Whereas if you were, for example, Swedish, Swiss or Dutch and won a title... WOW - you would surely earn in the millions right away.

So American fighters has a disadvantage right off the bat. On the other hand, if you hope to be no. 1 P4P it is better to be American because you will more easily get the fights at home and the earnings roof is higher.

From an array of newspaper articles. I have written that above, so I thought you had read it.

If you have some concrete corrections to numbers.. then give me and we'll correct the ranking. No need for the drama, just giver the numbers if you know them.

Oh, I almost forgot.....the ****** thing says more about you than me. When answering to this post, just write all the cuss words you know and throw in a few ****, ****, pooh.. if that helps you calm down - and then delete all that childish stuff again before pressing send.
