Maidana vs. Morales PPV was ****ing awesome. **** on every PPV Floyd has ever had.

Ishida trashed Kirkland, RG and Katsidis and Maidana Morales which was a ****ing war. Best PPV card I ever bought.

Who cares, Algeries is a champion at 140, why does he have to be a WW champ to make the fight viable? 140 vs 147 happens all the time.

That's like saying Duran-SRL was a terrible matchup because Duran wasn't established at WW. Poor excuse. Algeries just beat one of the top champs in his division, on paper at least, he earned it.

Young hungry undefeated lion who hasn't been schooled in a shutout by Alexander, schooled by Khan and a shot Morales.

Duran was established though as a top WW contender with the dominant win over Carlos Palomino. Duran also looked excellent against Monroe Brooks, although Brooks was more of a JWW than a WW.

But I definitely agree that there is no problem in itself in 140 vs. 147, or a top fighter in one division facing a top guy in another division.. Happens all the time. Mayweather-Hatton was a fine matchup. So was Whitaker-De La Hoya, although it turned out to be an ugly stinker.

I can't think of a worst PPV. Even if Khan had fought Algieri, Khan would have been accused of cherry picking. (Khan would smash Algieri by the way.)

I just said it in a thread earlier.

When you think about it, this is a champion Vs a champion. So is it REALLY that bad? I have absolutely no clue who this guy is, although I was a fan of Provodnikov a few years ago.

I'd prefer Pacquiao to fight someone I know or someone he's not the favourite against. I, as a Pac fan, would like to be able to say "Pac beat ___" to defend him, and to be honest I probably won't even mention this guy is Pac trashes him cause his name isn't established enough, but it's only because of the standards we hold Floyd and Pac to. For anyone else, champion Vs champion is a solid enough match up.

It's a HUGE risk though. If he loses, he doesn't hear the end of it. No point in taking fights that don't boost your name, but risk taking it down loads.
