James Toney. Ok self inflicted derailing but he could have done so much more with the right attitude

Does it really matter to you how big Cortez got between fights?

    Roy Jones Jr
    Mike Tyson
    Michael Nunn
    Donald Curry

    Today:
    Sergio Martinez
    Nonito Donaire
    Yuriorkis Gamboa
Martinez, Donaire, and Gamboa were really something special back when they were still on a winning streak. Seeing all of them get TKO'd this year really breaks my heart.

Except he fought again and won. Didn't look the same fighter because the power wasn't there due to hand problems.

Anyhow, Lucas Matthysse had a pretty hard fall from grace. He was about to become boxing's next star and then he got that freak eye injury and dropped a decision to Garcia.

Instead of fighting Mayweather and Pacquiao, he's now getting matched with the likes of Molina Jr. and nobody Ortiz.

Is that how you remember it?

I picked Garcia from the moment the fight was announced. Garcia was/is massively underrated, and Matthysse overrated. Eye injury or not, Garcia has his number.

That's how I remember it. Just to be clear, I wasn't picking Matthysse by KO. I always felt it would be a tough fight.

Matthysse was winning clearly in rounds after 6, Angel was getting pi$$ed, he was slapping Danny's face telling him to wake up or he's gonna lose. I think it was in that round the eye was damaged, Danny had a clear target and Matthysse had a loss of vision.

People agree with you that Lucas is overrated, but they'll be back on the train again if he bodies Broner. Personally, I still view Matthysse as a special fighter who has been beaten once in his career. I really hope it doesn't end there for him, but he's getting older and will decline soon.

Roberto Duran, there was No Mas, and then getting knocked out by Hearns.

Manny Pacquiao, first that awful decision against Bradley, then getting knocked out by Marquez.

Roy Jones Jr, getting busted up by Tarver and then Johnson back to back.

Sergio Martinez, that limping Cotto fiasco.
