How is Manny Pacquiao a good role model? He's rumored to have multiple kids by prostitutes that he doesn't support, his congressional platform supports banning birth control, he was an avid ****-fighting gambler, he's a model hypocrite as he promotes liquor he doesn't drink, and he embraces and does his best to spread the blight of christianity. What an *******.
I really do not understand why people or fans care if a boxer, athlete, or any other celebrity are role models. people should raise their own kids and if you are a youth you should look up to people for what they have in their heads and hearts not what they can do on the field.
The only role model that i gave ish about is Ali who stood up in the face of oppression. he used his celebrity to make a strong political statement. Anyone who says he was a racist is a fool and have zero sense of the realities of the good ole USA in the 1960s and 70s (hell today)
Unfortunate and ironic how he came to embrace oppression in the form of Islam, granted he now practices one of the least insidious form of it in Sufism.
Eddie Chambers. The guy is a class act and he is the only one openly interacting with the fans here on ESB.
I don't know of any boxer who is as active and responsive on Twitter, either. He's been regularly interacting with fans on it for many months, even posting his Live gamertag.
Valero, Mayorga, Mayweather, Kirkland, James Toney, B-Hop, Chisora, Oliver Mccall, Michael Moorer, Raphael Butler, Khoren Gevor, Mike Tyson, Ike Ibeabuchi, Carlos Monzon, Clifford Etienne
You may be joking but Mayweather and Hopkins are great role models for other boxers. Inspiration for keeping your ass in shape in between and being dedicated to your craft. Some of the role models being listed here like to become fat boys between camps
