It's a disgrace the way JuanMa has ducked Caballero - the man kicked dirt on his name and made us all laugh and still he won't fight. To me, JuanMa's another example of what's wrong with the sport. Now it looks like they're going to get Gamboa to do JuanMa's dirty work. I like Gamboa but I'll be cheering for Caballero, simply because I don't want JuanMa to get off lightly. Gamboa should be fighting John - the real WBA champion at the weight.

You also have to understand that B-Hop is pretty damn old now and his story is stale and he doesn't have a rival. His only rival was Jones and he settled that score...there really isn't much left for the story of Hopkins.

I honestly feel Floyd fans would still watch boxing even if Floyd wasn't around. Most of his fans were fans of the sport before becoming hooked on his skills and shitty attitude. Manny on the other hand just took his countrymen into the sport with zero knowledge or care for anything else BUT Manny Pacquiao. There are a few of his fans that truly watch the sport, but I can think of a **** ton of people who watch boxing SOLELY because of Manny...

    I'm half PR...and even I can't defend that **** man :-(

I love the guy. I watch his fights without question or delay...but that **** is inexcusable. Don't know what to say...he's scared or not ready and Arum is completely fine with allowing that. And the funnier part is I think Caba would have a harder time with Juanma than Gamboa being that Yuri is smaller in every way and a **** chin to boot.

Either way...that division will have it's hay day soon enough.

Manny has inspired fans more than Floyd imo. Manner of victory should always be taken into account - and Manny usually provides drama. Floyd fans seem to get really upset about this, but I don't see how it can be disputed. That two round KO victory over Hatton was an iconic moment - love that ****. Of course, Floyd tries to atone for his lack of in-ring drama with his personality - but, to me, he's just become tiresome now.

JuanMa will win me over as soon as he starts fighting the best - there's a lot to like about the guy. But best fighting the best is what we should demand at all times - regardless of allegiances.

That's the thing that pisses me off though about most of Manny's fans. I wouldn't quite say they enjoy boxing. They just enjoy Manny. Manny is a BIG part of boxing, but not the whole damn pie. There are other incredibly enjoyable fighters to watch and keep up with THAT ARE FILIPINO! I mean...where's Donaire's love?

Another guy reluctant to fight the best. Been living off that Vic win too long.

I think we're slowing moving in that direction. Just look at the Super 6 and the 140 division...I may even include Light Heavy to that list considering Pascal's rattling of Dawson.

many of the divisions are going to have their **** hitting serious fans pretty soon...and it's gonna be messy! :yep

if you love boxing you won't let pettiness get in the way.

    i'll say it again...who gives a ****?

let people take what they want from the sport.

Its weird but Vic seemed to deal better with that loss than Donaire with that win.

There really isn't much out there for him to fight after beating Vic considering Vic did all the dirty work. That guy wiped the division with his hairy nutsack only to be ***** slapped by Nonito...now the guy is left fighting scrubs.

I personally think a fight with Nongqayi would be nice. Other than that...not really interested.

I genuinely DON'T give a ****. But it was a point brought up to speculate on so I did. That was my observation and opinion on Manny's fans. I don't hate them as people or dislike them per-se...but it's pretty frustrating.

don't you think it's frustrating for boxing fans from the phillipines when you categorise them like you just did?

never applies to everyone..generilsations are dangerous and dismissive things

see...it's amazing what can be accomplished when Manny and Floyd are put aside...now we just grilled some new people. Took an interesting look at other divisions heating up. And talked about the abuse of fighter/promoter scapegoating.

    ****in' brilliant! :good
