Make it short and sweet, and for the fighter you see winning only.

    Joe-

    1. Activity: Bernard won't be able to withstand the activity level and around the 7th or 8th round this will show.

    2. Tempo: Bernard wins many of his fights based on his ability to set or redirect tempo, but he won't be able to do so with Joe because he is a master at this himself (see Kessler).

I'd rather Calzaghe face Dawson or Pavlik, but you can't blame him for fighting Hop.....once an elite fighter.

Hopkins age creepin' up on him fast.
I'll bet Calzaghe to win but a younger Hopkins might be a different story but we'll never know.

    B-HOP

    1) Defensive Skill/Style - Joe is careless and throws wide punches most of the time, leaving Hopkins there to counter with his straight right and inside body work.

    2) Experience - BHop has seen it all, and had great success with southpaws. His ability to adjust and fight like a veteran (rough-house, etc.) will enable him to pull it out.

    Joe to win:

    1. youth on his side

    2. and is aggressive. taylor is inferior to joe but he managed to beat hopkins because he pushed the aging warrior out of the slow tempo bernard enjoys in recent years.

    JC

    Speed

    Workrate

Seriously, Hopkins lost to Jermain Taylor strictly on the basis of being slower and outworked and Taylor isn't as fast as Calzaghe nor does he have anywhere near the stamina/workrate

    Joe C

    1. He will outwork Bernard and make him uncomfortable

    2. He is younger and hungrier than Bernard.

    JC

    1. JT/Hop 1 & 2...remember how Hop had no answer for the fresh, fast start of JT? Remember how he decided to turn it up too late? Yeah...get ready to see that again

    2. Joe hand speed > Hop's speed to jump in & crowd/maul/smother
