but extremely good fights, fearlessness and great opposition easily counter it. Calzaghe doesn't have that. he was declared innocent, but its a plus in my book if he did. poor damage ability? not particularly, excting to watch. I've already mentioned that, and there are millions who would put Tyson down despite it, due to the sheer entertainment he provided. a painkiller, ok that's semi-acceptable in my book. hmm you expect a flyweight to be some huge puncher. silly boy, watch the fights, they were end to end nonstop stuff and the first flyweights I saw, so fast ad energetic it left a solid impression. that's blatantly not true, but I can see why you are spinning it so. More importantly, I've already explained that the fighters who made the greatest impact on me were ones I saw was a young man (90s) Why do you have a problem with this? Why are you trying to force a fighter on me who doesn't fit my definitions? u must be butthurt indeed to try to fit a round peg in a square slot so. Don't try and enforce your views on others please just because the world doesn't share your view - learn to accept views of others. thank you.
when did I enforce my opinions that had had absolutely no bearing on the conversation on you? be clear and specific.
Every day you come here to enforce your opinions about Zaggers on the world. You know how many results a search for "Calzaghe" returns from your post history? 1,998. That's almost a quarter of your post history over a 5 year period. And that's before we even search for "Zaggers", "The Pride of Newbridge Wales" or "Super Joe". What I did in bringing up Zaggers was called a gag. I thought after all the time you've devoted to ripping on the man and his achievements you might at least be able to laugh at someone suggesting he was one of your favorite fighters. But alas, just seeing his name is like red to a bull for you. It's sad really. :-(
1. Boberto Duran 2. Nigel Benn 3. Tommy Hearns 4. Erik Morales 5. Juan Manuel Marquez (In danger of dropping as feel conflicted about possible roid usage). Not currently in there but as a teenager at the time I was quite a big Naz fan. Just missing the cut: Lennox Lewis, Michael Watson, Carl Froch, Sergio Martinez, Ray Leonard. A couple of years ago Cotto would have been close, his MW "reign" has tarnished that for me.
why is it sad to talk about Calzaghe on a thread ABOUT calzaghe? well, its not. Its what EVERYONE DOES, including you. EVERYONE is not sad. NOW - appreciate why YOU are (selfcategorisingly) sad for enforcing your view about calzaghe on me where I have specifically mentioned the fighters I first saw fight as a youngster. Where was Calzaghe in the early 1990s? he wasn't relevant. YOU are doing the equivalent of posting "What about Calzaghe!!" on a thread discussing the HW title in the 1950s. No relevance to the HW scene, no relevance to the 1950s. But you've not stopped there - you've now gone on to try to prove that your error is my fault.
1. Aaron Pryor 2. George Foreman (his comeback) 3. Roy Jones Jr 4. Marco Antonio Barrera 5. Johnny Tapia
You must be a riot at parties. It was a gag, mate. The relevance of Calzaghe was to YOU. Learn to laugh at yourself a little. :good
My usual response is "La la la la la, I can't hear you!" :bart I tell myself he only did it when he was old, half shot and too high in weight as a desperation move but really it should probably change how I feel about him slightly. Problem is I can't forget the excitement of the barrera fights or switching southpaw vs Pac in round 12 then asking Merchant "Did you like it?" and that overrules my rationality.
Holy Sh*t. Just realized the search I did only went as far back as mid 2012 So 2,000 Zaggers posts in the last 3 years.
