Great fight.

But I haven't rewatched it since it happened.

Tapia vs Ayala :good

 

Never rated Paulie Ayala. He was a joke at times, pure media creation on the back of the Tapia fights and his background.

 

I've only seen the Tapia fights to be honest with you mate. Fantastic fights mind you.

What was his background? :think

 

Similar to Johnny's but with a "famous" family. Watch his first fight with Clarence Adams who was a much better fighter then him, but never got the same opportunities.

I thought Tapia won their first fight by a decent margin - haven't seen the second fight.

And Morales handed Ayala his head in their bout. Its one of my favourite Morales performances.

 

James Toney v Iran Barkley is one of my favourites. Probably Toney's finest hour... an awesome performance from one of the most naturally skilled fighters of the last couple of decades (imho)
