Evander Holyfield: fought guys massively bigger than him his whole career, fought more top fighters than anyone in recent history, plus he's an action fighter that's given us at least four or five of the greatest fights ever.
Arturo Gatti: not a good fighter, but his heart and style made him possibly the most fun to watch boxer ever
Muhammad Ali: fast, athletic, smart, fought everybody, gave us great fights, a champion inside and outside of the ring
Manny Pacquiao: little energetic guy who dominated bigger men, an aggressive come forward style, and one of the few lately who've tested themselves against the best around, a patriot, a religious man and a congressman who's down for his people
Willie Pep: almost unhittable, great movement and speed, plus enough offense not to be boring
Rocky Marciano: a juggernaut who would bang, not pretty but always entertaining
Marvin Hagler: strong, dignified, quiet, the picture of a champion, he unified the titles and defended them forever. He took pride in being the middleweight champion. He got great knock outs. He would rather defeat his opponents than outpoint them.
Thomas Hearns: great technique and great punching power
Ray Leonard: bit of a sneaky weasel, but a damn talented one. He fought the best, even if he didn't always fight them the way I would have him fight, and when pushed to it he could bang. A blend of great speed, power, offense, and defense. If Hagler had the mind of a soldier, Leonard had the mind of a general, tactical, calculating, and could execute any plan to victory.
Roberto Duran: I like how mean he was in the ring, how he really seemed to enjoy fighting.
    Ray Robinson: simply the best
Joe Frazier: I enjoy his aggression and punching power
Archie Moore: I admire his skills, the number of fights he took, his many kos, his longevity
Bernard Hopkins: skills and longevity, the desire to challenge himself fighting men half his age, like Holyfield a true warrior with something to prove
Aaron Pryor: this guy was always more interesting to me than Arguello. Maybe, he just threw more bad intentions.
Bobby Chacon: like Gatti one of the most entertaining fighters ever, one action packed fight after another
Freddie Steele: I just saw some footage of two of his fights a few months ago and thought damn look at that guy move.
    Jack Dempsey: a destroyer

This is a fantasic post. I love the Leonard, Hagler, Duran, and Moore discriptions. All of the discriptions were great. The Gatti one as well.
