Tyson introduced me to the sport but i was hooked when De la Hoya beat Chavez.

 

I'd boxed as a kid as i was brought up on ali/frazier/Cooper/Bodel & co but i never really had anyone i could nail my loyalty too not until i saw DURAN vs De Jesus 2 highlights on a sat afternoon on World of Sport, I WAS HOOKED:smoke **** all the rest i thought, i'd found my hero & i just wanted 2 be like him.

When i got 2 work on monday all i could yelp was "Did you see that ****in madman Duran" too any one that would listen, my mum went nuts as i soon found out rapid that he was the one that smacked Buchanan in the nuts & what with her being scottish:scaredas:

 

I really watched boxing carefully for the first time in 1999 with the De La Hoya/Trinidad fight. I wasn't convinced by the decision but I started to watch more and more fights and the sport won me over in 2000, with fights like Barrera/Morales I at the beginning of the year and Trinidad/Vargas in December. I am a hardcore boxing fan since then.
