79 inches according to the tale of the tape from the Liston fight.

A meagre 72 inches according to the tale of the tape from the Ali fight.

Shrinking arms syndrome is a sad and under-reported affliction.

Thanks. I wasn’t aware of the insidious SAS.

That’s an alarming loss of 7” in just 5 years.

In just another 3 1/2 years post Ali fight, Chuck would’ve already found himself within the territory of Marciano’s T Rex arms.

    Terrifying.

No accident that Chuck’s last fight was in fact some 3 1/2 years later on Sep78. The man would’ve been damn near armless by that stage.

I notice in current IVs Chuck’s arms (or lack thereof) are kept out of view.

I wonder if Chuck’s increasing propensity to throw rabbit punches when in close presented as an inverse correlate to the steady shrinking of his arms?

Given the effects of his affliction and impact on his trade, should we be perhaps be a bit more forgiving of Chuck for his “compensatory” illegal punch. No?
