Liston - gangster

    Trying to figure out the name of the african american gangster that Liston may have banged heads with in his loan-shark days.

    I'm not referring to Frank Carbo or Blinky Palermo or Johnny Vitale. This man was black and powerful... I believe he was Vegas based. But if the guy I'm thinking of was Philadelphia based, I'm happy to hear any info or clues.

    Does anyone out there know?
