Sorry i cant find a video for this. the whole fight was on tv recently including pre fight intros etc. the starting line up before the fight was awesome. imo it was the greatest assembly of ATGs ever in one place. You had Liston, Patterson Sugar Ray, Louis, Marciano and then Ali as well. Has there ever been a collection of great fighters together like this in one place since? (or before) I know Vitalis entrance had Frazier, Foreman, Lewis, Holyfield and Tyson.
Lot of the great middleweight fights used to 8-10 past great MW champs introduced at the fights up in NYC.
There were a lot of all-time greats at the FOTC, for one. Prior to that it was not unusual for a lot of ATGs to be introduced before championship fights. On one of the recent threads (believe it was 'How washed up was Jeffries...?') it showed Sam Langford, Phila. Jack O'Brien, Abe Attell, and Jake Kilrain being introduced in the ring prior to Johnson-Jeffries. I also know that Corbett, Sullivan, and Fitz were present. Another time, I saw a photo of a lineup of former champs before a fight in the '30s that included Jack Dempsey and Jack Johnson - I'll have to try to find this.
