We're talking about Liston circa 1960 v the Ali of 1966/67. Ali wins, pure and simple. Too mobile for Liston, and he could have stood up to anything that Sonny would catch him with.

Ali didn't win 6 out of 6 rounds against Liston. IT was much closer than that.

The prime Ali is one of the few guys with the skill sets to likely deicision the prime Liston but it would have been a far closer fight ...

A prime Liston could have likely defeated any Ali of the 70's ...

I am 90% sure Liston took a DIVE, but 10% of me thinks it was a real KO not just for show! :think

We probably didn't get to see Ali's prime. He was never the same fighter after his 3 years off.

itry was being very sarcastic, because he clearly believes Liston was close to his best on '64 & can't stand it when people suggest Sonny may have been born prior to '32.

I see the Ali of the second fights with Norton and Frazier, and the Foreman one beating a prime Liston.

Liston could never have beaten Ali. Too mobile, too tough, too clever.
