Nice review from another site; http://www.mightygloves.com/2007/09/what_ifsonny_vs_ingo.html Great photo from a Boxing Illustrated April 1963 cover. I still remember how intimidating Liston looked back then.
Liston kills him. He could outbox him and pummell him with his jab, or simply go right at him and brutalize him with hooks and uppercuts.
Both guys were great punchers, Liston and Johannson, so it would be a war. It really would be a battle of chins. I think Sonny's chin was better, and overall he was a stronger athlete with a better jab and simply more aggressive. Liston would catch Johannson early and often, and I don't see Johannson lasting to the fifth round (I'm giving him THAT long because we have to assume both guys are in their prime for these kinds of contests). Liston TKO5 Johannson
