I can't believe Tyson is ahead in the poll! Liston has everything needed to beat Tyson:chin, jab, power, uppercut. I think Liston would hammer Tyson.

Liston is way too slow for Tyson, Tyson easily beats him to the punch and wrecks him.

Liston doesn't even have a weight advantage as he usually and only has a couple of inches in height

 

Liston being slow is a complete myth and one of the biggest myths about the man .

That myth started after the 2 Ali fights .

Ali made Sonny look slow as hell , of course he did . That was ALI in his prime .

With that kind of movement Ali in his peak , he can make any HW you can think of look slow .

Not to mention that was a faded version of Liston that Ali toyed with . People seem to forget that or ignore it .

He was deceptively fast for a man with his muscularity .

Sonny had the chin to endure Tyson and he was the better boxer as well .

He can even outbox Mike if he wanted .

But we all know neither fighter is going to be boxing in this fight .

It would be a war .

Unfortunately for Mike , he wont be the last man standing .

The man was extraordinary and one of the powerful HWs that ever lived .

Sonny was 212 1/2 when he took Cleveland Williams soul who towered over him at 6ft3 and was the closest thing to Tyson back in that day .

Now that doesn't mean its a guarantee that the same thing would happen to Mike , ....but I believe it would .

Tyson would probably beat him to the punch but best believe Mike is going to get caught himself .

Sonny was very technical and knew how to set up punches beautifully .

The force of Sonnys Jab alone will floor Tyson .

That frightning jab of his broke facial bones , shattered teeth and ended fights .

 

There are Votes from people who only knows Liston as the guy Ali beat up on 2x .

Thats all they know Liston as .

They have not taken the time to go back and see the animal he was in his prime . They have not watched any other past fights of his .

People dont realize how special of a fighter Liston was .

There are oridinary fighters and then there are extraordinary fighters .

Liston was no ordinary HW and was completely extraordinary .

Tyson has never encountered anything like him .

Prime Sonny Liston has a great chance of beating any HW in history .

Name any HW you want .

Any man foolish enough that tries to stand up to Prime Liston and take the fight to him .

(Which is exactly the only way Tyson will fight him )
