I read that Liston was booked to fight Mr. Chuvalo. I'm certain that the old Liston would have soundly beat him. How do you think the fight would have went? Do you think Sonny might have been the first man to drop George? Or Do you think he would have beat him by TKO? Or Decision? What's your prediction?

George wasn't the type to step up and win too often. Liston I think outboxes him but it may have still been a rough and tumble fight at that stage for Liston.

That takes ducking to an artform. I'm kidding, and it's in bad taste. Sorry lads.

I'd favor Liston even at that stage of his career.

...Addie, that sarcastic garbage should be taken to the general forum. You're so much better than that, mate...But still "". If ESB existed then, that line would've been used by fifty Chuvalo "Nuthuggers" immediately. "He wuz so scarred of Chuvalo he kilt hiself cuz he wuz scarred. LOLOLOLOLOLOL." ...(SIC)

Liston made an art out of not only knocking you out, but busting you up in the process. Completely destroyed Chuck Wepner in his last fight in an absolute bloody fight that showcased his art to a Tee. Even at his later age, Liston was still very skilled and hit hard as ever. While George was tough as nails he would take a drawn out beating and probably be stopped on cuts.

Liston. Chuvalo's face would be unrecognizable. His eyeball may have fallen back out a time or two.

At 10 rounds Liston by decision.

At 12 rds, Liston by TKO.

But Liston would have said Chuvalo was a "brave" man, which he was.

Even though Liston was old this match up would be perfect for him, slow face first strongman pressure fighter coming to him continually asking for another punch. I see a stoppage here

Liston was finished at this point. Chuvalo might outlast him.

Liston would stop him before the 11th round. chuvalo's style of coming forward without much headmovement is perfect for Liston to throw his classic cannonbt jab, and cut him. I don't think Liston would floor him, at least not at this stage. but a primed Liston, like the one who fought clevland Williams, would probably floor chuvalo because he was a lot smarter and didn't really swing like George. George was just swinging at chuvalo meanwhile Liston would be throwing straight punches and that deadly left hook he might be able to floor him..
    Liston would still take him.
