Saw Porpramook vs Yaegashi yesterday. Amazing fight. FOTY candidate. And Yaegashi looked quite good in it.

Regarding Joyi-Takayama: The fight fell apart because the sponsor jumped ship. They're trying to re-schedule it before the end of November.

So, this friday we've got Suriyan Sor Rungvisai vs Nobuo Nashiro. It's a bit of speedy slickster vs tough pressure fighter, I'd say. I expect Rungvisai to build a solid lead in the 1st half of the fight and to see it out in the end against an oncoming Nashiro... close decision for the Thai.

Also, there's Igarashi vs Uicab on Sunday, and Silvestre vs Kokietgym on Monday.
Plus there was supposed to be a fight between Tepparith Singwancha and Hiroyuki Hisataka next Wednesday, but it's no longer on boxrec...

Brian Viloria vs. Giovani Segura, most likely on December 10 in Manila with Viloria's WBO Flyweight Title on the line.

I love this thread keep it going. These guys give us the best fights and don't ***** about contracts or conditions. Can't wait for Segura vs Gonzales thats a classic in the making. Tyson Marquez vs Wonjongkam is another one. Big fan of Alonso "Finito" Lopez too. If he can fight anywhere close to his dads level we can expect to witness some brilliance and unforgettable classics too. I really hope he is training with Beristein so fighters like the Marquez bros, Arce, and Angulo can whip him into shape.

    Thanks, El. Good comment.

Ah, I don't care. As long as we've got the main topic on point. With his size it would be no surprise if he had some good wins at bantam and super bantam. Are you a big Rojas fan?

Has there ever been a coach who communicated through pantomime? :think

    ie

*Holds thumb and forefinger together and bends elbow, lifting arm up over face and tilting head back with throat pulsating in exaggerated gulps* (Have some water, baby!!!)

*Pushes tongue out into cheek and fondles an invisible shaft protruding from puckered mouth* (You're blowing it!)

*Bashes downward repeatedly with an invisible club as though the offspring of Barney and Betty* (Bam! Bam! Bam! boop! bap! bing!)

    * Imitates Frankenstein's monster * (Just holds your arms out straight, Hasim. He can't punch around your arms, can he?)

I'm wicked psyched for Viloria/Segura, guys. I think the title's changing hands. El Choc is scheduled for a defense in early December. Anybody know if it's a live opponent they're looking at? I love to watch him fight, but he needs somebody good so we can get him some Ring top ten p4p love. He could very easily replace a guy like Bradley, with no disrespect intended.

    :rofl Brilliant.

Okay, Koki's brother Daiki is going in for the WBA Super Flyweight title, against
Tepparith Singwancha. It must be for the "regular" title? Singwancha had the interim and as far as I know Shimizu just got the same title from Cazares. Am I messing something up or is this not listed right or only WBA ******ation? Is Shimizu being elevated to super champion for any reason or did he vacate or is he injured or what?

I don't think I've ever seen a thread on him, which is sad. Welcome to the thread, Addie. Too few of us here.

I have made many threads about Myung Woo Yuh over the years. He's my favourite fighter of all time outside of Marco Antonio Barrera, having acquired 21 of his fights on DVD over the last 2 years. Great punch placement. Varied offensive arsenal. Above-average defensive abilities, but lacked the kind of power to stop overmatched opponent's in the early goings. Defeated every man he ever faced.
