Morales would win in 9 rounds the pace and the power would be too much.

Lopez would find a way to lose to someone like Morales I think.

I see a lot of jab-right hand combinations here, that's for sure.

I think Morales lost a little something once he moved up from 122. Not too much, but enough to take a bit of the edge off his power and strength advantages he'd enjoyed before. Lopez was a big featherweight, and had stupid power. Yes, you could knock him down but he rarely stayed down. It took Sanchez 13 rounds of banging huge combinations off his head to prompt a stoppage with Lopez still on his feet at the end, and that was Sanchez banging away with both hands. Morales didn't have the fluidity Sanchez had, nor the left hand.

Lopez by either late stoppage or fairly comfortable decision.

Sal may well be right but I dunno, Lopez was there to be hit, always. A way, way, way past his best Morales got robbed against the much bigger and stronger Maidana.
Lopez enjoys a size and power advantage sure, but Morales was pure class. Gotta go with that.

Lopez could really, really hit...But Morales has faced those before. Lopez wasn't the type Morales had problems with. I like Morales by comfortable decision. I think he's just better all around (except for power)

Morales is better all around except for punching power. Now when Morales gets tagged he likes to fire back and trade. I think that would b his undoing against Lopez.

Why couldn't Morales counter-punch and jab his way to victory just like Sanchez did? He has all those exact tools and arguably a more educated jab than Sanchez plus he is taller. Morales put on brilliant boxing/slugging performances vs a prime Barrera, the busy inside flurries of Ayala and granite jawed tough nuts like In-Jin Chi all 126. Thats just at 126, Morales even outboxed Danny Garcia at times in the 21st year of his boxing career and handled Garcia's power in their first fight at 140. Little Red is puncher of the highest order but Morales has the track record and even though he mixed it up never forgot his bread and butter jab 1-2. Morales UD who comes on real strong in the late rounds.

I disagree. It took the whirlwind rising prime Pacman a vicious 10 rounds to starch Morales in their second fight. No shame there, but Little Red's offense was more orthodox and walked into exhanges. He doesnt have that speed and angles to surprise Morales. He's got sledgehammer power but Morales had a great, great chin and excellent stamina and sound boxing instincts into the late rounds in his prime.
