Litzau vs Gamboa?! WTF!

    Idc I like the fight only because I have some type of hope for Litzau. Hope he does good for himself.

    OK I prefer Gamboa vs Solis, but why a step down? Didn't Litzau just beat the "most avoided fighter between 122-lbs? He earned to be in this position, it was not hand it to him on a silver plate.

    I said a step down from Salido, not Solis - because that's what it is.

    Heading in to their fight, Salido had more of a chance to beat Gamboa than Litzau does (barring a very lucky KO shot; I really don't give Jason much more than that slim puncher's chance here with the huge lack of athleticism and how relatively one-dimensional Litzau's game is). That's what taking a step down means - you face an opponent with less of a chance to beat you than your last one.

    That isn't to say Litzau doesn't deserve a big fight for upsetting Caballero. It's just that given his chin and the speed difference, he's much less of a threat to Gamboa than the tough and awkward Salido was (even though Litzau has a punch and Gamboa isn't terribly difficult to drop). Hence - a big step down.
