If there's around a 5-7 pound difference in weight, it'll essentially be meaningless. There really shouldn't be any "3G fought a bigger man!" crap about this. it's doubtful Jacobs re-hydrates to a ridiculous weight (But we'll see I suppose)

You are absolutely right. However, if they both can avoid too many clean shots it might last. I wanna see some knock downs and fighting through being shook, good body shots and ring generalship. I wanna see each man give and good as he gets and then if a knockout comes, it comes, by either fighter.

 

Won it how exactly? Gennady looked away first? Or flinched?

Not much really, ggg was half smiling while Jacobs was dead serious staring him with his meanest look.

 

Jacobs is the bigger manm he may rehydrate to 180++
GGG can rehydrate no more than 10 pounds....

 

Not trying to rain on the parade, but staredowns mean absolutely nothing, and GGG is one guy you dont want to miss in the ring, but watching his weigh-ins are a waste of time. Hes too nice and classy for them to ever get interesting so go figure even if it were possible to lose a staredown, he would lose every one! lol He just smiles. He needs an immense trash talker to take him out of that shell. Oscar was like that too, but atleast he could talk a good game and really knew how to articulate everything and hype the fight up without needing to trash talk. And the one time someone laid a hand on him and actually pushed him hard and oscar actually fell back a bit, Oscar came back to the mic and said "you get a free shot and all you did was wrinkle my tie?" lol

 

I agree lol. Just describing what I saw. GGG, Oscar and Pac are similar, you can't intimidate them, they will just smile it off.

Some fighters have quiet confidence and some need to pump themselves up. It's just prefight show to get fans excited, it won't matter when the bell rings.
