Great matchmaker, best in business. Just struggles with the promotong (bullshiting) to people. Be interesting to see how he did if he had a BT or Sky Contract with ppv capability.
Agree, he's a fantastic matchmaker. I know it gets said from time to time but he doesn't really get the credit as one of the best in the business, as people focus on his promoting.
Cracking fight, glad it's over so I can catch me breath. Relentless action, shame for Dilmaghani, just came up short in the end!
That was incredible. The promoter's son losing a close fight on points, a seventy second blowout from a future champion and a war. Thanks to Mick and Channel 5 for a great night's entertainment.
Channel 5 haven't done a bad job to be fair, I prefer this to BT's studio and Hearn's garden. The fact that I haven't thought about turning the commentary off just reinforces my absolute loathing of Adam Smith.
Thought Barry Jones was a bit biased with his scoring having the Champ down by one round after 11 but certainly not as bad as Sly commentary team. Ziani is relentless and I thought he was 2 rounds up after 11. Dilmaghani will come back stronger after this fight and no shame losing to a very good champ.
Thats the problem with him being a promoter lol. Would be the best manager/matchmaker in the business. But in fairness if he got Hearn or Warrens contract he would give us much better shows than they do.
Sly should really open their boxing up to all promoters. Some of the best fights watched over the years promoted by Mick.
Interesting to hear that Dilmaghani was up on two of the judges scorecards.I had Ziani a round up going into the 12th round
God bless Michael hennessy. The man who built the cobra, the gypsy king, and now samir ziani. Thanks mick
The trouble is that the casual audience doesn't like even fights - they want to see the fighters they know winning in the first three rounds or they get bored.
