Usyk can beat any heavyweight in the world but I agree that Joyce has a great chance at beating AJ.

AJ is very open when on the front foot which is how Ruiz caught him on the counter, Whyte has a vicious left hook.

Joshua reminds me very much of a David Price when hit even with mediocre power punches - the energy, confidence and desire to win leaves the body instantly.

It is hard to watch for Joshua fans and any decent Heavyweight will take him out.

I used to cut Joshua the slack of fighting the people put in front of him, but the longer his career goes on the I tend to agree with you. Not that he's a pudding, but that we'll never really know how he rates amongst the current crop if he doesn't fight them.

I have to agree with Jurgen, my money would be on Joyce against Joshua every time. He's a tough fight for anyone. Joshua could run against a fatty like Ruiz, but doesn't have the skill or brains to avoid a relentless workrate like that of Joyce. Plus Joyce has power, and as we have all seen, Joshua's chin is suspect these days.

Yes I enjoyed it. The journeymen down the card deserve some praise for giving the house fighters a bit of a fright. Vidal is a very tough hombre and showed he's a class act when he helped to put the belt on his opponent. Tete the performance of the night, but Hammer fought bravely whilst he lasted.

Who is there to fight? He just fought Usyk ffs. Wilder won't fight anyone, Fury is fighting the Whytes of the world, who is there that Joshua hasn't already beat?

Joyce is gonna get found out when he steps up. Yes his conditioning is great, yes he's got a high output, but he's as slow as molasses and he takes punches that he shouldn't be. Wilder would shatter his jaw.

Joshua v Bakole is a great 50/50 fight - Tony Yoka had the courage to face Bakole, found out how good Bakole is and passed the warrior code to hear the final bell.

That was the best performance by a British Heavyweight fighter away from home since the Fury v Wilder trilogy and the Lennox Lewis Days before that.

I struggle to see Joshua battling through the same Bakole avalanche of punches but it would be a very good fight for boxing fans.

You need to study Joshua's CV, understand the context and background to each fight (eg age, boxing records, size of fighter, bra size and food bill etc) along with footage of round 2 against Pudding Whyte and the fight on 1 June 2019.

Joshua is the modern day Danny Williams who found himself in a very fortunate era when the Klitschko brothers were finished and Fury had a meltdown. The CV is rotten and you must belief Santa Claus is Eddie Earn when he also made those claims about all those 50/50 fights that were next to zero risk.

Faced one genuine fighter that had a chance of beating him and was schooled at Tottenham with Sweet Caroline Dubois in attendance.

I'll grant you, Joshua has fought ranked fighters from the generation he inherited - Wlad, Povetkin, Pulev, Takam, Parker. The Ruiz episode stopped him having another big fight in 2019 and then Covid got in the road. Usyk was forced upon him if he wanted to be undisputed and credit to him for taking it. Hindsight hasn't been kind to the Pulev, Parker, Takam wins but they were OK at the time and the options were slim.

I take your point that the heavyweight cupboard is pretty bare these days but if it's not a Fury or Wilder next, you'd want Joshua to be taking on fighters that grew on the scene after him - Joyce, Dubois, Hrgovic, maybe even Whyte again. If Joshua is as good as I used to think he might be, he'd wipe them out fairly comfortably. He's time time on his side to find out, too. Hope that makes more sense than the last post.
