Spud O'Connor has had a very long career producing these bogus cards and Robert Smith has done nothing.

Nothing will change until Smith goes.

Smith’s sheer arrogance and continuing to turn a blind eye to the shoddy officiating that plagues boxing in this country is disgraceful.

How he continues to get away peddling the line that we have the ‘best officials in the world’ is beyond me. Probably down to the cosy relationship that much of the boxing media has with the ‘establishment’.

We’ve said it many times before and we will continue to do so.

There is no accountability. Is there anything we can even do to demand such a thing? Is there a way to raise complaints? They won’t be upheld but perhaps it’s a start.

The British Boxing Board of Self Interest Control has next to zero governance in place which explains the fact that Smith can do what he wants.

We you see a referee's committee with Spud O'Connor on it then that says it all.

It's an organisation more corrupt than FIFA when Blatter was in charge.
