What a great night for liverpool , with the Smiths having a bad end to the year it was great to see Lads stepping up to the plate and Keep the torch burning very brightly in the city, I can see some big shows coming up in the city

I think liverpool boxing is a bit **** - Bellew did alot better against Cleverly than I thought and I'm really impressed with Price, to be honest I wasn't even surprised with his one round demolition of McDermott last night but I other than him - I don't see any future world champions coming through.

big credit to all the kids who get in and fight but it as the extra appeal when your able to watch your own people in your own city fighting at the top

A 'Wooleyback' is someone from Birkenhead and not actually Liverpool I believe.

Basically a plastic Scouser. Like anyone would want to be a bin-dipping granny bashing scouser hahahaha.

Anyway, apart from Bellew and Price, its no better than any other City in the country, just half of them being with ****** and gobshites makes them more noticable to the public

  8. I think Liverpool boxing is quite strong.

Would be good to have a few ''derby'' matches, Liverpool vs Manchester.

Shame that most of our best athletes are rugby players, we could have the same with Sheffield otherwise.

This is on a par with LFC fans a few years ago claiming they were 'back'.

Liverpool has some decent domestic fighters but other than Price there's nobody who'll even touch on world level.

Liverpool generally produce scum and this can tend to increase the likelyhood of tough men who are good fighters. Its true for the whole of the north and its the same in MMA. :)

When you think that 10 million live in London alone but you see how many top fighters the North produce, then you have to think there is a link. For me, it is the scum theory :)
