There won't be any knockout in this fight.

I'm not so sure about that, Jeff. I can certainly see Mayweather scoring a stoppage.

Incidentally, I would normally be rooting for Marquez (whom I like a lot better), but part of me is hoping that Floyd wins and that Hatton beats Pacquiao so that we MIGHT (probably wishful thinking on my part) get to see Mosley-Mayweather--a fight I have long wished to see, and one which I still believe Mosley can win, even if that's the minority opinion.

Marquez has no business fighting at 145 or 140. He is just too small, but a good fighter.

I favor Mayweather, but with their styles, I see a decision more likely. Floyd fighting Shane would be a fight I would like to see but I have doubts we will ever see it. I suppose Shane is going to have to wait on the Cotto/Clottey winner maybe. I don't know who's going to fight Shane which sucks of course. Shane definitely does have a chance to beat Floyd.

    I agree, Shane-Floyd seems unlikely.

But still....I kind of hope a Hatton win and a Floyd win might lead to it happening.

Otherwise, I guess I'd like to see Pac-Floyd, which is inevitable if they both win their upcoming fights.

Well moving above 130 has helped his power obviously. Actually I think this fight will be slightly under 145 if it happens, and JMM could fight at 140. Pacquiao and Marquez both look better above 130. Marquez could weigh around 145 on the night of a fight without being too heavy. That's about the limit though. Pac's is around 150 before he'd start to be less effective. They have both KO'd each of their opponents above 130 but Marquez stopped the much more live opponents. He'd of KO'd D Diaz or ODLH as well. Pacquiao does seem to have went to another level but will it be so drastic against a more live opponent? We will see, but I do expect him to stop Hatton.

I'm not so certain Marquez is an easier opponent for Floyd than Pacquiao would be.

Probably inevitable if they both win, but the negotiations are going to be a ***** for that fight, regarding weight and money. I've heard Roach say he wants Floyd at something like 143.5 if it happens.

If they win, it will happen. Neither party is stupid enough to let that much money slip away. There might be a lot of posturing with each side trying to maximize it's own advantages, but ultimately, I have no doubt that a compromise will be reached.

Yes, then what is Shane to do? Well we both know the toughest fight may be Paul Williams and of course, it would not be surprising if Shane takes it if this scenario with Floyd/Pac plays out.
