Danny looked like **** vs Dominguez and we hardly saw any of him against Jones. Tarver looked like **** against Dawson also , but Dawson today is streets ahead of anything Green ever faced. What indication has Tarver shown that would lead you to beleive he would be KO'd?

    I take Tarver

Tarver points. Tarver is the type of fighter similar to Hopkins and Toney who will never be stopped in the ring. Danny Green certainly won't stop him imo.

Oh this will be sweet if it goes ahead.
If bhop doesnt want to fight then Tarver better man up otherwise I'm going to have to dig up my 2007 thread "tarver has no balls":yep
To be honest i think Tarvers name is being thrown around in order to try and get Hopkins to agree to a deal.
Basically showing him hes not the only big fight on the table for Danny.
I was surprised Tarver said he'd be willing to come to Australia so if bhop wont sign this fight could be on.To be honest id rather see Danny punch the **** out of Tarver than Hopkins so BRING IT THE **** ON!

Each to there own i guess.
I've got 5k that says Tarver gets splattered over the ring...you'll see.
If the fight happens Tarver won't last 8 rounds:deal

Tend to agree mate, stopping Jones is one thing but Hopkins and Tarver are a different kettle of fish. Both haven't been stopped unlike Jones in the past.

Undecided who wins out of Green and Tarver, didn't see Tarvers last fight against Dawson to make accurate judgement.

BTW a question to left jab............ is their any fighter out there you wouldn't have $5k on Green to beat?????? That's the impression i get.

Heaps of fights out there that i wouldn't put that sort of cash on Danny winning.
But when it comes to Hopkins and Tarver i will put my $$$ where my mouth is:good
Don't forget people said i was crazy for backing Danny to beat RJJ:deal
To be honest i don't think Tarver has any hope against Danny so i could have even more on him depending on the odds.
Hopkins will be a harder assignment no doubt but the odds will be better too so i wouldn't have to put as much on Danny to beat Hopkins but as long as i know Dannys hands arn't to ****ed b4 the fight and they've been ok during sparring then i'll jump on bigtime.
I can honestly tell you the only fight i have ever lost a lot of cash on Danny was in the first Beyer fight:dead
I never had 1 cent on Danny when he fought choc or the Beyer rematch, people can say what they like about the weight issue being an excuse but Danny was sleeping in boiling baths every night and living on grapes for the week prior to the fight.
The guy looked gaunt like some cancer patient, choc beat him hands down no doubt but there aint no way I'm putting 5k on a fighter in that condition.
If Danny fought Dawson i wouldn't put 5k on him but i'd have a decent bet i've seen chad knocked down on a few occasions so i would have something on Danny by ko but i wouldn't be confidant enough to have a huge bet.

I keep trying to tell those knuckleheads on the main forum about green's
weigt issue at 168. Early in his career he was able to make it, but from the sean sulivan fight, and then the 2nd beyer fight to his fight w/ mundine. Green was at 50% at best. 175 to 180 is his weight where he alot of energy and explosiveness. I like tarver to keep green at bay and touch him up for a close 12 round UD, but I wouldn't be surprised to see
danny win a decision over tarver either. Neither guy is knocking the other
    out though.

I don't like Tarver much and would bet on Danny.
Didn't Tarver weasle out of a fight with Green a while back?

Depends what side of the fence your on as to who screwed who:yep
This is what i know for a fact,
Danny signed the first contract which was nothing flash thats for sure, then Shaw faxes another contract same as the first one except now there is no flights or accomodation included in the contract.
Danny accepts there new contract but couldn't get onto them and they returned 1 call over the last 2 months of negotiating and with 5 weeks before the fight was due they still hadn't signed the contract.
The other side of the coin is that Danny thought **** fighting Tarver for the ibo title for less cash and saw his oppotunity to fight for the WBA belt in his own country for way more cash than he would of got against ****r lips and against a much less risky opponent.
Its funny i remember Gary Shaw saying he was going to sue Danny and that he would never fight in the states yet 2 years later Shaw is employed as Dannys U.S agent:yep
