Nah, seriously, Honeyghan being the natural welterweight is enough for me to give him this one without even attempting to break it down.

 

Why would Honey be lethargic? EDIT: Obviously a typo.

Hatton would be walking into an offensive nightmare. 'The Ragamuffin Man' would batter him to a stoppage inside five rounds IMO. Far better fighter, and a very good Welterweight. Ricky isn't outmuscling him, isn't outpunching him, and isn't outboxing him.

Completely uncompetitive matchup.

As for Ricky, I wouldn't pick him to beat the Bumphus that Hatcher got to at 140.

 

Lloyd wins, Via Stoppage. He'd meet Hatton head on and i just can't see Hatton deal well with the pressure and offensive arsenal the Ragamuffin man brings.

I was just cracking open a cold Corona & it's an obvious match-up, a natural full-on tear up & both cut & bleed so it's pick-em for me that one or other gets their eyes split open. Hatcher was a very underated boxer & as hard as nails, nothing spectaculer about him, bit in the antufermo mode, good jab & very paitient sort of pressure box/fighter, very very deceptive, but carried a cannon in either hand, it's a case of Hatton trying to smother Gene but for me Hatcher is a 2 fisted banger whilst Hatton has no defense, jeez the more i think about this fight the more brutal i see it. If there's a KO then it's Ricky sucking canvas, can't see this going past 6:bbb

 

Hatcher had more crack behind his punches, but Ricky a better body puncher and a strong mauler.

Had the privilege of seeing a few of ragamuffins fights and at his peak he was devastating. Love both fighters but as everyone is saying, honey would have too much for hatton in every department apart from the body punches. Honey took on and beat the best at his peak and I think he would have stopped hatton late

 

I was only a young lad when he flattened Rosi in Italy. Was a fight I'd heard a **** load that he couldn't win on points, and Rosi was no mug.

The right cross to leave Rosi sprawled over the ropes is one of the most vivid memories I have of him.

Never thought he'd beat Curry though, no way.

Hatton? He would just tear through him. Mismatch. Hatton couldn't fight at welter in any case.
