It is crazy that the HW champion of the world against probably the best american heavyweight doesn´t get televised in the USA... When the SA Spurs were winning the NBA every year, were the networks boycotting the finals, cause the Spurs would win in boring fashion anyway?

Hopefully, it'll be shown by ESPN and can be seen many that wouldn't see it, otherwise.

But as has been said, Wlad sells enormous amounts of tickets in Europe. I doubt he's losing sleep over HBO tightening their budget and not paying for his beatdown of Chambers.

Whomever airs it, I think we will see a good Brockish knockout, as Wlad should Chambers, hard and early, given that Chambers has zero power to worry anyone.

btw i think it is good that HBO has to reduce their cards the last years... Eventually it will bring more channels in to play, when boxing gets affordable again... Let the great fights be for HBO... But HBO was airing to many shitty overmatched fights in recent years.. Those fights belong on Fox, ESPN etc...

No, but he needs the US in order to have super fights. He is making middleweight money when he is the heavyweight champ.

While all of these Wlad sucks and HBO sucks opinions are all entertaining, they are all inaccurate. Dan Rafael has said that HBO would possibly be willing to show the fight, but, the March 20th date doesn't work for them.

Yeah but the problem is that the channels only promote their own fighters, which basically means that every channel almost pretends as if each division has only 1/4th of the top players that they really have.

It's not their fault that their fights are the way they are.... Blame it on the opponents... They earn their way to a title shot, and then they flop...

Wlad looked extra good against Chagaev who I thought was a better opponent than Haye would be... A ring magazine #3 fighter at the time, and Wlad beat him like he was nobody... Who's fault is that~??

Ray Austin and Ibragimov fought tooth and nail with each other.... Against Wlad, both were beaten with relative ease...

David Haye talked his way into 2 title fights.... Only to pull out of 2 title fights... I find that kind of odd...

I think if Dimitrenko would have beat Chambers, HBO would air Klitschko/Dimitrenko cause Alexander is a big guy but is fan friendly... Chambers will make this a fight early on..

I need to buy some rose colored glasses so I can see it the way everybody else sees it. HBO didn't seem to mind broadcasting Lennox Lewis' fights, and Emanuel Steward has turned Klitschko into a Lennox Lewis clone. Many fights from the prior eras sucked as much, if not more, than the ones today. I remember figuring out "the silent contract" decades before Teddy Atlas commented about it. I remember "the silent contract" being displayed in several heavyweight fights during the Larry Holmes period. Two large guys in a heavyweight boxing match just going through the motions, not really trying to hurt each other. Just pawing jabs and clinches, then going to the scorecards. That's how it was until Tyson came along, a guy who wiped his ass with "the silent contract" and tried to knock his opponent's head into the cheap seats. Not being on HBO may turn out to be a blessing if one of the Vladimir can get his upcoming fight broadcasted on CBS, NBC, ABC, maybe Fox. He could make himself a recognizable public figure which would lead to money outside of boxing. He already has endorsement deals internationally but becoming a pitch-man for American advertisers would be even more. So far Klitschko most known to the public for dating Hayden Panaterrie. HBO is fine, but it's not like broadcast television which reaches even more people. Fight in public. Also, one has to question how has Eddie Chambers been exposed to the public? Not very well. Boxing seems to take place behind a curtain that a few savvy interested fans can peek behind. Chambers may be a capable boxer but how are the majority of us suppose to know that? Sometimes a step back can be a step in the right direction.
