Why are you worried about Floyd instead of worrying about Manny and what Arum is stealing from him?

Manny lives from paycheck advance to paycheck advance, think about that ****.

So is the amount of money that Pac is making then because nothing seems to be straight forward. They don't release the real numbers on what Pac is making for tax purposes. They don't release official ppv numbers. They wouldn't even allow vision quest to get any info to follow up on tax issues.

Lets see if they are willing to sit down with Shaefer and go over numbers to find an actual fair purse split.

why do you guys care about how much a boxer makes? fan dont ask how much a baseball, football, wrestling players takes home...why only in boxing? 30 years ago we dont ask ali how much he took home? boxing fans watch the fight not the boxers pocket.

Might not happen. Remember Golden Boy took Top Rank to court not long ago accusing them of underwriting their actual profits from a couple of Pac's fights when they were taking a cut from them. Top Rank would have to tread very carefully not to give away evidence which could lead to tax fraud/evasion charges or information that could help Golden Boy's case (not sure if it's still ongoing or not). Might just be a ploy from Schaefer in respect to that issue, he didn't sound too serious suggesting they should go back to 2007 when Floyd had the De La Hoya fight which propped up his numbers big-time, and which Arum and Pacquiao would never accept in a fair comparison to their drawing power today,

    Straight from The Fat Man...........

I've been over this before. The figures written a Nevada contract are not necessarily the real number for big PPV guys. They get most of their money off PPV generally. So if Manny's "official" purse is $8 million fine. But he is guaranteed in his contract with Top Rank (which is not something the commission would have or release if if did) something like $20 million or whatever. The money is the money. One of the reasons for the disaprity is because Manny is not a US citizen and is often paid a large amount of his money through his Filipino promotional company and deals in the Philippines for things like the television revenue there. So while it looks like a big difference it is not in reality. So folks can keep on drinking the kool aid. But they dont get how the business actually works when it comes to fighters from overseas. I once covered a world title fight in Vegas with a champion from South Africa in say about 2002. His Nevada contract for a world title fight said his official purse was like $1,000. But he was making more like $50,000 because of the TV money from South Africa. You can do anything with numbers. What is written on the Nevada paper for big time fights isn't worth the paper it is written on.

    from Dan Rafael of ESPN

I posted a link the US - Phillipines tax treaty, you know there isn't much tax benefit for manny to be payed 6 million in the US. Also there is no double taxation on what Manny earns in the US and takes to the PHillipines.

If Arum paid Manny less than 1 thousand dollars US for the fight i would agree there would be tax benefit, but he gets none from being paid 6 million.

One of the reasons not the only reason.:deal

I think it will make a big difference, from $6M to $30M?

My point went over your head.

There is no reason looking at the tax treaty between the US and Phillipines, for Manny to not be getting more guaranteed money directly. It makes no sense for him or Arum to push money "for him" into all these different shell companies. Especially in light of the fact that VisionQuest has told us that none of his companies keep any real records of what comes in and what goes out.
