Does he fit into your P4P Top 50?

    Where does he rank H2H?

    In his weight class?

I'm a little biassed towards defensive wizards because I place alot of value on H2H when ranking fighters. The amount of fights he won in which he didn't KO his opponent(117 W - 14 KO) i believe says alot about his overall skill level, toughness and durability. However he didn't exactly leave his stamp on the world stage, the competition he fought isn't up there with the best. I don't have a top 100 list myself but he'd definatley make it if i did. I'd say anything from 70 - 90. Top 50 i doubt it.

I wouldn't necessarily say that. Carlos Ortiz, Ismael Laguna, Eddie Perkins, Antonio Cervantes, Carlos Hernandez, Adolph Pruitt, (an old) Joe Brown were definitely up there with the best. Fought and beat some other overlooked fighters as well although less notable than the ones I listed. Paul Fuji, Alfredo Urbina, Emiliano Villa, Sandro Lopopolo, good fighters.

Nicolino Locche actually beat 69-0 Jaime Gine in his 13th professional fight.

I really am beginning to think of lists as a pain in the ass..so I'll just say that the defensive wizard Nicolino Locche rate in my nebulous "top fifty"..as for head to head competition..I too have a bias for the defensive wizards, and after just one look at Locche's record..the scalps he has taken and the incredible longevity he had..he would have a great shot at virtually ANYBODY he was matched up against...if not to win outright, then to make them look bad in losing to them. I don't see him utterly dominated or ko'ed by anyone.

I don't have much of a list. I've said it before that I'm not a believer in ATG lists. To numerically list all-time great boxers next to each other when there's often very little that separates them and so many different issues to take into consideration is almost impossible in my opinion and rarely objective.

I admit that good discussion comes out of people comparing their lists but I feel it's not worth the effort atleast for now.

Now I do have some type of tiers that I place fighters in. I'm sure Locche would be involved among my top 100.
