Great fight coming up guys who takes this one? Les Sherrington vs Joseph Kwadjo on August 12 BY MATT CLARK - Les Lock N Load Sherrington will face fellow Super Middleweight contender Joseph Kwadjo on August 12th, 2010. Sherrington, who is rated IBF #8, WBA #12 and WBF World Champion, will face Kwadjo, rated #15 by the IBF on the Gold Coast, Australia. Both fighters are coming off great performances. Kwadjo 14-1 (10 KO), a Ghanaian who boxes out of Fiji, annexed the IBF Australasian title with a seventh round stoppage of Jamie Pittman. Sherrington 26-5 (17 KO), a Gold Coast local, recently defeated former world title challenger Rubin Williams in four rounds.. This is my hardest fight to date and Joseph is a great fighter. It will also be my best win, said Sherrington. The fight presents a tremendous opportunity for both fighters to climb the world rankings, with both being rated by the IBF. Im very excited about the opportunity the IBF has given Joseph and myself. It will be a hard fight against two rated boxers, with the winner likely to climb the rankings. Its not too often that ranked contenders face each other these days and the better man will win on the night. I really want to establish myself at the top of the division and beating fellow contenders is the best way to do it. Sherrington realises that he will need to be in peak condition against the rugged slugger. Ill definitely be making sure I am as fit as ever. I need to have fuel in the tank for the full twelve rounds. Kwadjo is very tough and a very hard puncher. I plan to use my rock hard jab and body shots to dominate the fight. That being said, if the fight doesnt go to plan I will adapt to anything that arises. Promoter Jamie Myer also believes that it is a potentially explosive match up. Both guys are coming off excellent efforts against quality opposition. Both boxers have tremendous power so theres a good chance that someone isnt going to see the final bell. The fight will be telecast live around Australia on Fox Sports. Article posted on 14.06.2010
Pitman looked good against Joseph Kwadjo however hes quite tough and can take the shots....he waited until the right time and ran over the top of Pitman with some clean power punching Les will need to be on his guard and keep moving and punching or this could go the same way as the pitman fight. Im picking Les wide points :bbb
Lock n Load wins.though i've never seen the other guy so im just being patriotic.on FOX looking forward to it.
kwadjo was very impressive in his win over pitman i thought jamie started well but kwadjo was just too tough, should be a ******* ( can I use that word) of a fight with a les win by narrow points after leading well early and nearly being run down
i see Rubin Williams fought a guy that was 20 .0 with 15 kos and by all reports went well good credit for Les !
don't take anythingout of the rubin williams fight, he is that far beyond shot you wouldn't even use him for target practise.
if Les wins in style i would like to see Mundine come off ! i think he has the tools to beat Mundine!Sally *******s
