I reckon Les needs to dust off his passport, the big fights ain't going to land for him down under especially the ones involving him and the likes of Kessler and Arthur Abrahams, good to see his confidence high regarding Mundine but i doubt Mundine would go back up two divsions to 168lbs after the big song and dance he made whilst running from the division to avoid Kessler . ps Thanks Ippy .

Dunno Josey. He leaves Oz now, he is the opponent. He's got the advantages of fighting on home soil at the moment with plenty of interested parties in making the journey. He's 27 and he's still developing as a fighter. The bottom line is, he's not going to get Abraham or Kessler anyway at the moment.

I understand that Ipp but the trade off of having home advantage is the quality of opponent willing to make the trip down under , who has been mentioned ie what standard ? will he be fighting for the Commonwealth or will the WBF stand him in better stead ?

I'm a big fan of the Commonwealth title and all it stands for. The problem is, it doesn't get you very far. Most fighters look at a world ranking etc and the C'wealth title doesn't help a great deal with that. There should be an announcement pretty soon in relation to his next opponent.

I hope Sherro's next opponent is another step up in class so the improvement he is showing continues upwards , the kid has a good attitude by the sounds of your article Ipp's. Good luck to him .

Nice article. But how dare Les come out and say this:

LS: (Laughs) I would love to say that “Yeah I think this fight will happen”, but I don’t think it will. Mundine only fights guys that he knows he can beat. Daniel Geale fought Mundine last year and it was a very tough fight. Perhaps Anthony was lucky to get the win. When the rematch came up, Mundine said: “No I’m moving down in weight”. Good excuse buddy!
