Pavlik is beatable but he sure as hell wont be beaten by someone like Lockett. Frankly this is a farce of a fight.
You should mention that he also goes on about the armchair critics who think they know everything. If i hadnt seen the pair of them and only listened to folk off this site i would be thinking that it`s a prime Tyson vs` a washed up Gavin Rees come June 7th. Lockett did go on to say his career had stalled b/c of injuries so at least the kid deserves a break, got a great knockout ratio if some didnt know, but then most thought that Lewis was knocking out a Oliver Mcall when they fought. That put alot of eggs on faces. Pavlik being mw champ fighting in the us should win but he`ll be made to scrap it out, Lockett wont be an easy ride for him for sure. :toney
of course pavlik is beatable. He is very perdictable fighter, but he is soo good in his limited game that he becomes hard to beat. Everyone knows what he is going to do once comes fight night.
You should know by know it is the 168 pound nh'ers that are the ones mostly calling Pavlik a bum and comparing him to their heros. They all think Pavlik should move up to prove them right. They ignore the fact he has yet to make a single title defense at 160. Let them come to Kelly's weight if they want him. I think it started with JC calling out Kelly just after his first fight with JT. Let Joe come to 160. Hell I'd take Pavlik if actual fight weight was 168. JC can't fight (not weigh in 36 hours in advance) at that weight.
What the hell is he supposed to say, Pavlik is a puglistic God, and he might as well not turn up? His assessment is pretty much right, whether he can take advantage is unlikely of course, because it's Gary Lockett. Anybody decent will.
