Pavlik drops the WBO title and then Locket wins it and fights bums for several years. Sound like a couple of other fighters we know?

rememeber though, if Pavlik drps the belts and moves up to 168, it's not for a superfight, nor it it due to trouble making weight....it's because he's scared of the fearsome Gary Lockett.

Be good to see Lockett vs Duddy! Lockett is just the sought of fighter that will get fed to Pavlik, but Enzo did get Rees a world title!

Tsarenko gave him one of the worst beat downs iv ever seen. Lockett was never the same again and became very gunshy in his following fights. As much as i like Gary his not world class. If he ever meets Pavlik the result will be VERY VERY bad for him.Other than a nice dig his not got much else.

I give him massive amount of credit for winning the rematch though. It took balls to even get back in the ring with Tsarenko let alone beat him after the pummeling he got first time around.

But you're right, he's not world class.

Then again, Pavlik ain't all that.

Look at all the guys around the top twenty rankings in each division at middle weight and you can not pick many you can really rate as desering a chance at a title shot or to be that good at all really. Even the more recognised names are either going down hill or habe not done too much either.

Maybe the rematch stunk and Lockett was lucky to scrape the hometown decision.Remember the first fight was a split decision!?!? As for Pavlik as much as i like the boy he is alot of hype. The kid has great hands and goof fittness and will go far as a middleweight. But his not in that elite upper tier of the sport.Either way his way too much for a guy like Gary.
