No matter how many times you refute them, they still crawl back for more :-(

I think beating Quillin, Lee, Lemieux, Saunders and Canelo would cement his legacy at 160, he can do what he wants after that. He can pack on the muscle to fight at 168, without having to worry about losing it to move down to 160. He can also unify the titles and make history :happy

Has there been a recent champion with more than 10 defenses who had a worse resume than GGG?

The guy has a **** ****ing resume, it's so bad that it's laughable.

Look for him to fight 3 more bums in his next 3 fights then have his fans claiming they were good and world class.. :rofl

These are the same people who were HOPING that Geale would beat Cotto so GGG's resume wouldn't be a bigger joke than it already is. :rofl

If Golovkin can't fight, then why is Cotto paying him step aside money so he can fight Alvarez instead? Golovkin is the mandatory for Cotto, now he will wait and fight the winner of the Cotto/Alvarez fight......................Ward is still running from Stevenson and Kovalev..........................

    @ 160?

    Sturm, Ottke, Abraham

At the moment Golovkin has the best resume of all active beltholders @ 160

Tell me 3 names he should fight @160 which are world class....

and don't say Ward. He fights @168 and won't leave Oakland anyway

Cotto has never fought @160 won't fight GGG @160 and you can't compare their resume anyway

"cotto has never fought at 160"....tell that to all the clowns who say cotto is a certified mw(what they really mean is it makes them feel better to say it when they talk about cotto being afraid of ggg)

kk17....thats the point....there arent any real world class guys at 160....which is why he should fight ward....but hed rather take paydays against b level guys then get decison'd by a world class elite fighter.....he wouldnt be the favorite against ward....and he doesnt like that roll.....ward will take a kovalev fight before ggg takes a ward fight....believe that

Yeah, nobody will say he fought 3 world class opponents if he fought bums. Who are these fictional "fans" that are brought up purely to bring an argument home?

The fact of the matter is:

    GGG - A Side
    Ward - B Side

    Weight 168 vs 164
I think both men have to compromise here. Ward obviously can't do 164, and GGG has never fought at 168. GGG's fear could be that Ward may weight in 169+ and have a huge size advantage on the night. I think 165/166 is a fair weight as Ward will be going lower than he has in years, and if he misses it slightly he's still probably under 168 and after burning himself down a bit.

If I were GGG I'd push hard for every advantage possible, because Ward is going to win a lopsided decision unless GGG can catch a tired Andre late on.

Lol, seems to me that someone doesn't know **** about boxing. It's okay though, I'm here to EDUCATE the ignorant.

For one, Ottke was a Super Middleweight. Robin Reid, Mundine, and Glen Johnson are simply better than EVERYONE on GGG's resume. Sven was a joke getting many gifts in Germany, but he was a true champ, had the better resume, and beat more CHAMPS than GGG has or probably ever will. He won the belt from the champ not from a handout from the WBA, and made his OWN name instead of waiting for paydays and handouts from other fighters.

Sturm is another German joke, but let's be realistic. His resume and accomplishments **** all over GGG. GGG's best opponents literally got their top 10 ranking from splitting close wins with a shot to **** Felix Sturm.

Then we have ANOTHER German Arthur Abraham. Although he feared getting knocked out by Kelly Pavlik when they were both champs, he managed to build upon a very RESPECTABLE career. He knew that the MW division was a joke, so he sought greatness and moved up to attend the s6 tournament. Despite being old and shot, he's still on top of his game, his wins over Taylor, prime Miranda, and Stieglitz dwarf everything on GGG's career.

If GGG were to retire RIGHT NOW, these 3 fighters would clearly rank above him. GGG's resume is so bad that he only has 2 former champs in his resume, one of them being a JMW and the other being Geale who got knocked out in 4 by a WW.

How does GGG have a better resume than Cotto? Martinez, Geale and now Canelo simply DWARF everything on GGG's resume, and that's only counting Cotto's fights at MW. It's sad when a damaged goods, shot, washed up, blown up former JWW has a better resume than GGG.

    That's absurd as ****.

you said recent champ and not recent middleweight

lol Mundine ducked Golovkin in the past and Geale already beat Mundine

Ottke wouldn't last 6 round vs Golovkin even @168

    1. Cotto never fought @ MW

Martinez was injured and old + the Cotto fight was @ catchweight

Golovkin stopped Geale quicker + the Cotto fight was @ catchweight

Fight vs Canelo will probably be @ catchweight

GGG has Knockout wins @160 vs Geale, Murray, Macklin, Stevenson, Ouma and Rubio

GGG is Cotto's madatory since nearly a year
Cotto fights once a year @ catchweight, Golovkin fights 4 times a year @ 160

Middleweight is anything between 154.1 pounds to 160 pounds. Jesus, another Bumlovkin fan who doesn't know **** about boxing. I'll bite though.

Martinez got beat up and knocked out AFTER he called out Cotto, expecting for an easy payday. He saw Cotto get beat up and embarrassed by Austin Trout, so he licked his chops and begged Cotto for a fight and payday. He was so embarrassed by that loss that he retired boxing. The Martinez fight was at 159, when has Martinez fought exactly at the MW limit?

Geale is a bum who got beat up by Mundine and knocked out by a shot to **** damaged goods WW in 4.

Murray lost to a cripple in a close fight.

Stevenson, Ouma and Rubio are all bums, jesus christ.. is this really what GGG's resume consists of? I almost forgot how bad it was.

Ouma was shot to ****ing **** with 345453554 losses and was a former champ at 154.

Rubio always got knocked out every time he stepped up, including to a washed up drunk Kelly Pavlik.

Stevenson... :rofl Do you even know Stevenson's record or followed his career since his mini retirement? After retiring for several years because he couldn't compete at the high level, he knocked out a couple of bums in the first round then GGG's team offered him a fight..

    :rofl:rofl
