GGG hadn't done much when he was going after Sturm , but everybody cried how it was an injustice that Sturm didn't fight him. Golovfans also called an old , one legged man a ducker for not fighting him. Charlo had no idea Heiland had a leg injury , but everybody knew Sergio's knee was completely shot / blown out.
Not a good look for G, imo. Hes obviously at the stage of his career where big fights are the priority, and with no belt now, he has no real obligation to fight anyone he doesnt want to. That being said... its still not a good look imo.
lol Do you think Jermalla would fight Dev with only a few weeks notice? What about Jacobs? BJS 2.0? Or Boo Boo? How's about 36 y/o versions of them who were past prime and clearly declined and had the biggest fight of the career and by far the biggest payday (a king's ransom x 100) a few miles up ahead of them on the road? None of those ******* clowns wanted anything to do with GGG when he was in his prime and they only managed to inflate their little chicken testicles to rooster size when they saw the signs of decline they'd been patiently biding their time hiding out in the chicken coop waiting for. Clenela is a disgrace who relinquished his belt and hid out at Clenelo weight until he thought the coast was clear, or at least much less safer to pop his head out of the water. Then the little ****** (rhymes with banker) jacked himself full of Clen after his judges robbed GGG blind in their first fight. At least BJS 2.0 had the stones to freely admit that he wouldn't go anywhere near GGG until he saw signs of him starting to slip. GGG had to literally bend over backwards to get Jacobs in a ring, affording him the golden opportunity to relieve him of all 3 of his world titles he'd worked so hard and was forced to wait so long for, in one fell swoop in his hometown with all 4 of the officials coming from his (Jacobs) country and the opportunity top catapult himself from relative obscurity to stardom. But even that still wasn't enough for Jacobs who still wouldn't step up to the plate until GGG aka the actual A-Side, star, and draw in Jacobs' home country agreed to a purse split that in no way, shape or form Jacobs even came close to deserving. And Jermalla only stopped draining his huge ass frame down to 154 because he'd seen GGG was ''on the way out'' after looking human against Brook and Jacobs. Ditto for Boo Boo who said he was only 75% down at 154 due to having to make the weight. Like I said before, it took GGG looking human against Brook for Jacobs ''he's getting exposed'' to step up to the plate, GGG looking human against Brook and Jacobs for Clenelo to locate his plums. Had GGG still been prime all of those guys would still be draining themselves down to 154 or hiding out in the darkest corner of the chicken coop.
The fight makes a lot of sense for everybody but the man who might miss out on a huge payday if he loses. The real statement.
Loefler shouldn't have an issue with Golovkin facing Charlo next after his outing last night, but then again, he knows that Korobov was a last minute replacement, and Golovkin doesn't have Korobov's ring IQ or boxing ability.
