I agreed with Harolds card and thought Pavlik was ahead by a point even with the knockdown. Anybody acting as if Pavlik was getting blown out did not watch the same fight.

Loew also picked Kessler to win. Maybe he's just a Calzaghe hater.

What the **** is this disrespect? Pavlik knocks Calzaghe out in 9? A guy that is unbeaten in the best part of 2 decades, and has displayed a great chin at SMW.

I wonder what the **** people are looking at sometimes. Kelly Pavlik is a puncher. He is slow, has ordinary boxing skills, has virtually no defense and as a result eats punches all night. He got put on the deck by Jermain Taylor for crying out loud.

Calzaghe has virtually no weaknesses, other than getting rash against opponents he has no respect for. He is quicker than Pavlik, is infinitely better at boxing, has an awkward southpaw style that is virtually impossible to prepare for, and I can assure you he hits harder than Jermain Taylor. The more I watch round 8, the more I think Kessler was really struggling with that body shot, and was lucky as **** the ref jumped in.

I am almost praying this match happens, it will be hilarious to see the reactions on here when Pavlik is taken to school and stopped late on.

Joe unified the belts himself, Pavlik won the unified championship off the guy who won it off the guy who unified. Its not the same. Pavlik's accomplishment is great, but its much harder to unify a division than to win a pre-unified championship.

anyways don't forget that even Baldomir was the unified champ at some point.

Forget about that. Everyone agreeing that Pavlik is King would be like me admitting that PBF is the best there is today.

What about Julio Ceasar Chavez? He had more than 70 fights.

This is a dumbass statement, but yeah, Pavlik is too green for Calzaghe.

He relies too much on his power.

He needs more experience before he steps in the ring. Calzaghe would win a UD.

  A true vulgarian arent you mate. Your really not angry with me. Your angry because you do have half a brain in your head and you know Joe would get pummeled. Yes mate the whiplash treatment by the 9th rd. I'm sure you would probably turn your head at the site of Joes head being snapped around. Me I would have to bust out in laughter. Thats why it would be more ideal to cash in on a hugfest with Bslop. Pavliks to dangerous for Joe. However Taylor-Calzaghe would be much a much better fight it might even last 12 rds. Cheers mate:good

This would be the first time that Calzaghe ever faced a fighter that has an equal or even greater workrate.

And while I envision Joe landing many more punches, Pavlik would land his fair share of shots, and they'd be the much more powerful shots.

I would definitely peg Pavlik to make this a much more competitive fight than the Kessler bout, simply because Kelly has huge power in both hands, proven against elite competition.
